Join Ethnos Network

Joining Overview

What does it mean to join the Network? Because we are a relationally based, decentralized family, it takes intentionality on all our parts. And it doesn’t look the same for every pastor or church. But the basics include:

Formal & Informal Relationships

Our formal structures of relationship include a yearly global gathering and monthly video calls. But many of us are in numerous conversations outside of those times to encourage each other, collaborate on new initiatives, and more.

Strategic Collaboration

Most of the new plants are “adopted” by one or two current sites. Following God’s guidance, leaders visit cities together, collaborate in the development and funding process, and continue relationships outside of the formal structure. Leaders and sites also share their expertise and resources with each other. These can be found in our members-only area.

Financial InvestmentWe do not require sites to give a certain percentage to the network. Rather, we expect and trust in the maturity and Spirit-led direction of each site to actively adopt new plants as they join in.

First Steps

If you’re interested in becoming a part of the network, the first step is to contact us. From there, one of our pastors will reach out to you to better understand your calling and vision. You’ll then get introduced to a few more pastors, so we can get to know each other better. Again, relationships are the foundation for working together; it’s important we actually get to know each other.

Open House

In this process of building relationships, you are also invited to join one of our Open Houses. This is a time to hear more about our Network from our Directional Team, and ask any questions you may have for the Network. Our dates & times for 2024 are below; pick one time slot to go to, and contact us for the Zoom Link.
May 13, 8-9amEDT & 8-9pmEDT
September 16, 8-9amEDT & 8-9pmEDT

Making it Formal

After the first steps and monthly calls, if there’s a sense of the Spirit’s leading on both sides, you’ll enter into a formal, simple interview process lasting no more than two hours. This will be done by three of our pastors. Their recommendation is then taken to the rest of the pastors, who meet once every four months to affirm new members. After that, well, then it’s time to get going!

Internships & Residencies

If you are not a lead pastor or planter but are looking for experience in multicultural church planting, internships and residencies may be the path to take. Many of our sites offer site-specific experiences. Contact us at the link below for more information.
